Breathe: Art and Wellness Workshop – Aprilat Crow Collection of Asian Art office in the Trammell Crow Center • Free for Veterans & First Responders
Now in its third year, the Breathe program invites local veterans and first responders to gather for monthly workshops centered around the practices of Qigong and art-making. In April, participants will explore photography and work together to capture moments in the city and in nature outside of the museum (weather permitting). In May, you will use these photos to create a multi-media collage.
This month’s qigong practice will focus on the third of eight principles: Minding the Breath. The Crow Collection is proud to partner with SimplyAware to offer quality qigong training for each workshop. Rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine, the practice of qigong involves simple movement to improve breathing, posture, and mental focus. LOGISTICS: Due to most of the museum being under construction, this workshop will take place in the Crow Collection’s offices on the 35th floor of the Trammell Crow Center. Upon arrival, please meet in the Trammell Crow Center Lobby. The Crow Collection will validate for parking in the Trammell Crow Center Parking Garage, so be sure to bring your parking ticket with you. For parking instructions, click here.
