Breathe: Veterans Art and Wellness Workshop IIat Crow Collection of Asian Art • Free for Veterans
In its second year, the Breathe program at the Crow Collection of Asian Art invites local veterans to take part in five free weekend workshops. The galleries and works of art at the Crow Collection provide a tranquil environment for reflection and discovery. In this second of five free monthly workshops, participants will explore the calming effects of repetition, through Qigong and art making. Inspired by the Façade of a Haveli from India, participants will create their own design using simple geometric shapes to create more complex patterns.
The Crow Collection is proud to partner with SimplyAware to offer quality Qigong training. Rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine, the practice of Qigong improves breathing, posture, and mental focus. Lunch will be provided for all participants. Register in advance to receive a free Breathe T-shirt at the end of the first workshop you attend! To celebrate their participation, veterans who attend four out of the five workshops will receive a custom Challenge Coin at the completion of the program!
