Breathe: Veterans Art and Wellness Workshop IIIat Crow Collection of Asian Art • Free for Veterans
In its second year, the Breathe program at the Crow Collection of Asian Art invites local veterans to take part in five free weekend workshops. The galleries and works of art at the Crow Collection provide a tranquil environment for reflection and discovery. In this third of five free monthly workshops, participants will continue their Qigong practice and explore how the qualities of materials, such as jade, influence the artist’s creative process. Participants will then have the chance to be influenced by the qualities of wood through an introduction to wood block carving.
The Crow Collection is proud to partner with SimplyAware offer quality Qigong training. Rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine, the practice of Qigong improves breathing, posture, and mental focus. Lunch will be provided for all participants, generously donated by McAlister’s Deli. Register in advance to receive a free Breathe T-shirt at the end of the first workshop you attend! To celebrate their participation, veterans who attend four out of the five workshops will receive a custom Challenge Coin at the completion of the program!
