Through the Crow Collection’s workshops with Uriarte Talavera (Puebla, Mexico) resident artist Javier Espinosa Mómox, community members explored the rich history of Talavera pottery.

An installation of Talavera tiles created by workshop participants and inspired by the museum’s exhibition Clay Between Two Seas on view at the museum from October 20 through December 3, 2016

Join us to celebrate the installation’s closing day as the museum invites workshop participants to remove their tile from the installation and take a part of Talavera home. Light refreshments will be served.

The Crow Collection Education Department thanks the participants in the public, family, and educator workshops and the students from Henry B. Gonzalez Elementary School (Dallas ISD), The Hockaday School (Private), Montessori Children’s House and School (Private), Plano Senior High School (Plano ISD), Singley Academy (Irving ISD), and Skyline High School (Dallas ISD).
