the eastern legendsThe Eastern Legends are a group of seventeen skilled young Chinese instrumentalists that fuse traditional Taiwanese and Chinese Music with Western pop, rock, house and techno styles. The performance presents the dazzling lighting design and minutely choreographed movements of the musicians which fit a younger generation of Taiwanese society today, blended with a lively and enthusiastic stage presence.

The Eastern Legends are part of the Chai Found Music Workshop (CFMW), a group dedicated to the advancement of traditional Taiwanese music, both inside and outside of the confines of Taiwan endorsed by the Council of Cultural Affairs of Taiwan. Since the debut of The Eastern Legends in 2007, the group has drawn audiences of all ages to witness their unique style of traditional instruments mixed with rock. Subsequently, The Eastern Legends was staged in every major city in Taiwan and has toured throughout Asia, the United States and Canada. Notable performances include the unveiling ceremony of the Taipei Cultural Center in Tokyo in 2010 and Wei Wu Ying Center for The Arts and the Taipei National Theater and Concert Hall performances in 2012.
