Faith and Kindnessat Crow Collection of Asian Art
Love, kindness and compassion are at the base of multiple faiths. The Crow Collection of Asian Art in partnership with the Interfaith Council of Thanks-Giving Square, welcome three faith leaders from the Dallas community to talk about kindness in their religions.
Esteemed guests are: Rabbi Andrew M. Paley, Senior Rabbi at Temple Shalom; Imam Shpendim, Islamic Association of North Texas; Pravrajika Brahmaprana, Resident Minister, Ramakrishna Vedanta Society of North Texas.
The panelists will discuss the theme of kindness in these broad areas:
– The importance of kindness from the Jewish/Muslim/Hindu faith tradition (historical references with stories).
– References from the scripture on the act of kindness.
– Practical reflection on how kindness translates into the daily life of a Jew/Muslim/Hindu.
– Act of tolerance and its relation to the act of kindness.
