Sleep Time Routine – The Ayurvedic Way

Sound sleep is one of the key pillars that support our optimal health and wellness. Ayurveda, the timeless art of living, offers us simple and practical approaches to balance our sleep patterns. Join Sapna Punjabi-Gupta, registered dietitian and ayurvedic wellness expert, as she shares the Ayurvedic bedtime rituals and adjustments to diet, exercise, and lifestyle strategies to support sound sleep cycles.

This interactive lecture includes a tasting of a classic bed-time drink suggested in Ayurveda for a restful sleep. Sapna will also demonstrate simple mama points for relaxing and easing into bedtime. Marma therapy is the ancient Indian practice of application of subtle pressure at important points in the body considered access points to body, mind, and consciousness.

Sapna Punjabi-Gupta is a Culinary Dietitian and an Ayurvedic Wellness Expert. She has been a Wellness Advisor for the Crow Collection of Asian Art and conducts interactive wellness workshops for the public. Sapna combines her Indian roots and western training to inspire and educate others by emphasizing mindful eating, the healing power of food and spices, and several Ayurvedic practices as strategies to improve one’s overall health and wellbeing. She has been recognized as the Ayurveda Ambassador of Dallas by D Magazine.

She is the creative force behind her company Naivedhya, teaches wellness workshops, interactive cooking classes and offers a line of heirloom spice products.
