“It is with our minds that we create our world and our place within it: all the experiences that we go through – of happiness, sadness, suffering, beauty, anything- are given meaning and come to life in our mind. So understanding how our mind works, I believe, is the key to freedom, to happiness, to contentment and to overcoming challenges. It is the key to everything.” Excerpt from The Restful Mind.

Join us for a vibrant conversation with Buddhist Master Gyalwa Dokhampa drawn from his book The Restful Mind. He will share insights on the notion of happiness and its relationship to both freedom and discipline. Followed by a Q&A, the event will end with a book signing.

Gyalwa Dokhampa is a young master in the Drukpa Order of Buddhist, also known as the Dragon Order. The Drukpa lineage is one of the main Buddhist schools of the Himalayas with a 1,000 year legacy in India and more than four million Drukpa Buddhists practicing throughout the world.

Based in Bhutan and Nepal, he has shared his knowledge and warm personality with students in the USA, Europe, South America and Asia, has led annual retreats in Nepal and Bhutan, and has participated in many panel discussions, including being a keynote speaker at the Buddhism and Science Symposium in Singapore.
