Mindful Office Program
The purpose of the Crow Museum of Asian Art’s Mindful Office Program is to provide access to a stress-reducing, effective toolbox. These new life-skills empower you to be a leader who actively practices being calm, present, focused, and compassionate to self and others in the midst of any circumstance. In doing so, you are a leader who embraces and engages with a new set of de-stressed attitudes that expand:
- productivity and flexibility,
- communication and teamwork,
- workability and joy,
- success and promotion,
- and empathy towards self and others that impact ease at work.
Our Mindful Office Program curriculum covers experiential learning about mindfulness, including what it is, origins and research, and practical applications for work, home and beyond. We utilize evidence-informed stress-reducing practices including awareness of breath and movement, and elements borrowed from Tai Chi and yoga, creative writing, and distinct options for developing focus on the present moment, such as visual and sound meditations.
In order to accommodate the full lives of leaders and colleagues, we design content and learning formats to best match the needs for your organization. The following format options are designed for groups of up to 18; larger groups can also be accommodated. Please note that within every format each participant is encouraged to practice 5 minutes per day; like any muscle or new activity, practice increases success.
